Mr. Stephen Bumgardner is a Project Manager and Drilling Manager at Advanced Resources International, Inc., with more than 38 years of experience across the upstream oil and gas and carbon capture, utilization, and storage industries. His expertise spans reservoir, drilling, production, and facilities engineering, with a strong focus on project design, construction, and operational execution. Mr. Bumgardner has extensive technical expertise across a wide range of resource types, including conventional oil and gas, heavy oil, natural gas liquids, and CO2-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations. He also has significant experience in unconventional resource development, including shale, coalbed methane, tight gas sands, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).
His international experience spans 12 countries, including Indonesia, China, Singapore, India, Botswana, Norway, Chile, Turkey, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. He has also held executive leadership roles, including nearly 6 years as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at EOGEPL in India. His project portfolio includes wildcat exploration drilling initiatives across the continental United States, Alaska, Indonesia, South America, and Africa.
Mr. Bumgardner holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers and remains actively involved in training and professional development initiatives.
