Red Dog Mine, Alaska

Advanced Resources worked with Teck Cominco to develop the extensive gas shale resources around the Red Dog Mine, a lead/zinc mine, located 90 miles north of the Arctic circle in NW Alaska, near Noatak.

Cominco, the mine operator, had an immediate need to replace diesel fuel used to generate about 30 MW of electricity for their mining operations.

ARI managed the entire exploration program including the drilling and testing of core wells, production well drilling and testing, hydraulic fracturing, production operations and reservoir simulation.
