Advanced Resources' consultants have led innovative work into tight gas sands exploration. Our work with tight sands began in the Clinton-Medina formations of the Appalachian basin, and has grown throughout the U.S. ARI has been developing natural fracture (“sweet-spot”) detection methods for tight sand exploration applications, designed to identify fairways where production performance will be the most attractive. These techniques have been successfully applied in the tight sand resources of the Rocky Mountain region in the U.S.
