     ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY

Since 1970, Advanced Resources' staff have been consistent leaders in the EOR field. Our staff performed the first U.S. EOR resource and technology assessments on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy in the 1970’s and have been involved with EOR resource, technology, field screening, project feasibility, reservoir and field development optimization-studies worldwide. In 1986/87, ARI's President, Vello Kuuskraa, was an SPE Distinguished Lecturer on the topic of “Enhanced Oil Recovery”. He was again bestowed this honor for the 2007/08 lecture season to discuss "Maximiz Oil Recovery Efficiency and Sequestration of CO2 with "Next Generation" CO2-EOR".

ARI is currently developing a reservoir description of the giant SACROC Unit in the Permian basin in advance of CO2-EOR pilot operations and is deeply involved with the synergistic application of CO2-EOR and carbon sequestration (CO2 sequestration).

A listing of selected enhanced oil recovery (EOR) publications, papers and reports is provided in the Literature page under the following sections.
